How to Use Pure Fragrance Oils for Maximum Longevity and Sillage

Applying pure fragrance oil well is a small ritual that rewards you with two full days of scent. Here is exactly where to put it, how much to use, and how to make it last.

Apply on Warm Pulse Points

Warmth activates scent. Press, do not rub, one drop of oil onto the inside of each wrist, the base of the throat, behind each ear, and the back of the neck. Rubbing crushes the top aromatic molecules and shortens projection. A gentle press lets the oil bond to your skin lipids and release slowly.

Quantity and the Scent Cloud

For intimate sillage, one to two drops per pulse point is enough. For a stronger presence, add the collarbone as a third point. Because the oil is undiluted, one application comfortably lasts eighteen hours. To intensify later, layer a second micro-drop on the same point after eight hours rather than adding new spots.

Extend Longevity with Fabric and Layering

Touch the dropper lightly to the inside of your collar or to a silk scarf: oil deposited on fabric re-fragments each time the fabric warms against your body. For the strongest effect, layer two complementary oils from our catalog, for example an amber base plus a fresh floral top.
